COVID-19 POLICY
The core mission of the REAP Center is to be a science facility. As such we want to applaud the global community of scientists that have worked tirelessly over the last few years to develop vaccines, treatments, and protocols for COVID-19. We further wish to honor the steadfast medical professionals and first responders who have taken the brunt of this humanitarian crisis. Our policies take into consideration that solidarity, plus local, state, federal, and AMA guidelines.
The REAP Center is fortunate to be largely an outdoor experience. Outdoor viral transmission has been documented to be lower than indoor transmission. The facility’s exceptions to this are limited enclosed spaces and the occasional gatherings where people may crowd in clusters, as well as the duration of time people spend in close proximity on a regular basis. Our policies take this into consideration.
The REAP Center has three categories of individuals and respective protocols.
1) Employees, contractors, members with designated spaces, and members coming more than four times per week
2) Occasional day members, volunteers, and intermittent visitors
3) Attendees of classes, workshops, and gatherings
With the exceptions noted below for these categories, our general preference is that everyone in society follows these vaccine requirements if they are able.
*These guidelines may change based on current local, state, federal, and AMA recommendations.
